Academica SC’s 2019 schedule has been announced!
TURLOCK, CALIF. (February 11, 2019) – AC kicks off the year with a friendly on Feb 12 th against USL Championship side Fresno FC. This is the second time the two clubs are meeting, with the Foxes handing Academica a 5-0 loss last May in a mid-season friendly.
The Black and Gold then gear up for their 2019 NPSL home opener on March 9 th against Napa Valley 1839 FC. Napa won both contests against Academica last season so AC will be looking for revenge as
they kick off the NPSL season.
This NPSL season will consist of 6 home and 6 away matches for Academica as they look to improve upon their 5 h place finish last season, their first in the National Premier Soccer League. AC will be hoping to make playoffs this year, which would begin on July 6th .
A note-worthy match on Academica’s schedule is their US Open Cup 4th rd. qualifying match at home on April 6 th against International Portland Select. If AC are victorious, they would qualify for the 2019 USOC and have the chance to play PDL, USL, and even MLS sides in the oldest tournament in America.
