Solomon chosen as WPSL HC


TURLOCK, CA - Damon Solomon has been announced as Academica's WPSL Head Coach for our inaugrual season. Solomon has spent the last several years as Academica Jr's 2009 girl's head coach and the club is proud to have him take the reins for our senior squad. Damon has over 15 years at the collegiate level most recently with CSU Stanislaus as an assistant coach, in which the Warriors made the NCAA tournament in 2019.  He was the head women's soccer coach at Rose State college out of Oklahoma City OK, Independence Community College KS, and Neosho County Community College KS before moving to California. Coach Solomon had guided the Rose State College to national rankings, several regional and district finals, as well as produced several All-Americans. He placed over 50 players to NAIA, NCAA D2, D1 and Semi-Professional teams from his community college squads. Solomon also spent time as a youth coach for USL side OKC Energy. Coach Solomon received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cameron University eas well as a Masters in Science from Pittsburg State University. Solomon holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advanced National Diploma as well as a United State Soccer Federation (USSF) C Coaching License.
