In 1972, several members of the Portuguese Cultural Center in Turlock CA formed Academica Soccer Club for the youth of the community.
Since then the team has been a focal point for quality soccer in the area. The club has grown from one team to several and has won many trophies through its storied history.
Adding to their accomplishments, Academica has joined the NPSL starting play in 2018.
