About The Club

50 Years and Counting

Academica SC has been the Valley's home for soccer for over 50 years. Formed in 1972, the club has grown into the premier place for local talent to play while striving to make an impact in our community. A dedicated group of members help maintain our home field (Academica Soccer Fields) while providing camps, scholarships, and clinics for up and coming youth in the area.

AC currently has teams in both the USL League Two and the USL W League, the unofficial 4th-tier of the US Soccer pyramid (shoutout to Welcome to Wrexham for making this easier to explain to people). These pre-professional squads give players from high school to post-collegiate the chance to develop and showcase their talent on a national stage. We like to say that we're an amateur club providing a professional environment.

Academica also fields a team in the USL Academy, a U20 league for local players to have access to high level competition at a fraction of the cost of other leagues.

What We Do

We're a club run fully by volunteers. For us, this is a passion project that we use to provide players in our area the best possible environment to develop and broadcast their talent on the biggest stages possible. We also work to be a place where the community can come together and enjoy the world's game right here in Turlock. We want our young fans to find their role models on the field and strive to reach the same level.

Our stadium isn't the only place we make an impact. The club hosts youth camps throughout the year for our youngest fans to get the chance to interact with their heroes. We also provide scholarships to high school aged players who are looking to excel on and off the field.

This is why we do what we do and hope that you'll join us this upcoming season!
