Gonzales is Black and Gold!

On Monday October 2nd, Academica made the announcement on its social media platforms regarding the arrival of its newest head coach Trisha Gonzales.

A pioneer in the Women’s Game, Trisha is the very first female to ever hold a DOC license from US Soccer and was part of the inaugural women's soccer recruiting class at Division 1 Pepperdine University. She currently holds a US Soccer A License and has been a Central Valley resident for most of her adult life.

She’s competed at a high level both in college and in the semi professional ranks with Cal Storm and other various teams throughout the Bay Area. She’s currently the Director of Coaching at local youth club Manteca Rangers.

“We’re excited to have Trisha as part of the club moving forward” said General Manger Michael Rocha. “It’s tough to find someone with so many accolades such as the ones she has. Were confident that her experience can translate well on the field."

Gonzales’s full coaching staff will be announced in the coming weeks.
